“It’s like a museum…” 

“”It’s like a museum… “So exclaimed with his eyes barred a German child of just 6 years old (already a very good pianist….) just entered the B&B…. in fact, the walls of the living room are now full of paintings and prints inherited or purchased over the years, choosing each piece one by one between antique markets, brocantes, auctions and fairs.

My intention however is not to have a museum, in Agrigento you can visit three (archaeological, diocesan and civic) rich in splendid works, but to rebuild the environment typical of the ancient Sicilian manor houses. Each object has its own history and it will be a pleasure to tell the guests more curious and attentive.

Voyage pittoresque…

You can admire some engravings about Agrigento taken from the “Voyage pittoresque” of the Saint-Non, published in Paris in 1785, some canvases by Raffaello Politi, eclectic artist died in Agrigento in 1870, two beautiful French portraits of women in white, a John the Baptist from the school of Pietro D’Asaro, a famous Sicilian painter of the XVII century, some precious fabrics in gold and silver, in use in churches and pieces of the kits of grannies and grandmothers…
